my husband and i went to minnewaska in aug. 1978, we were in awe of the splendor and beauty of the house and the grounds. we hiked to awosting falls and picked berries for breakfast. we loved the terrific wine cellar and the awesome open hearth fireplace. coming from the city, this was a piece of heaven. well, unfortunately we didn't get back in time before it closed. now, we live in ulster county and visit whenever we can, but i can't help but miss minnewaska. thanks for keeping the memory alive!!! here's to lake minnewaska!!!!
