Was this what Marriott would have built?

Post by Brad »

Found this today - thought I'd share. Obviously this was never built, but I can only guess this architect was contracted by Marriott to do an initial design.

They tried.

This whole situation finally went to the Town Council.

I had to hear "consultants* say to Marriott people that the riding stables would make a good Golf 9.

BUT we all went to the Town Meeting to add our voices.

Fortunately people from Mohonk were also there, and tendered their records on historic (100 years) water rainfall and spring-fed water rates and usage for a spring-fed lake like Minnewask. And the conclusion that Minnewaska could never support Marriott's design ...and the council concurred.
Thank you Mohonk .. . after all, Minnewaska was not your not brick/stone building but a quick wood job for Mohonk popularity/overflow and I thank you for taking responsibility.

Looks like the site I linked is no longer active. I wonder if the firm is even in business any more?

I know I saved the image off-line somewhere - I'll have to hunt for it.
