Drove by yesterday afternoon around 3pm and the park was closed.
Anyone know why? Is it too icy up there? I ended up trekking over to Sam's point, which was open.

maybe noone has been up there since. am not planning to go up there till next week when it warms up a little. i'll just call the palisades park commission at that time before driving up all the way up there.
forgot to mention before that the peter's kill area was closed as well. it wasn't just the main park. also...the awosting reserve entrance on aumick rd was open. plus, sam's point. so, essentially you could access the main park via those two entry points.

A limited number of trails in Minnewaska State Park have reopened per a January 20 notice on the New York / New Jersey Trail Conference's Trail Closures web page. The park had been closed due to ice storm damage in December.
