Since the January thaw is in effect, I'm wondering about the snow cover atop the ridge? I haven't been up there since early November. Are the carriage roads at Minnewaska snow covered and only accessible via skiing at this point?

Snow Cover as of 1/09?
i'm answering my own post here as i just took a ride up to minnewaska today (didn't go in the park though). there is not enough snow cover for skiing right now so it is open to hiking. this is actually what i wanted to know. i guess there needs to be at least 6" for them to groom the trails for skiing. hope this helps anyone else that wanted to know...
